Master's in Kinesiology

M.S. in Sport Coaching & Leadership (Hybrid Program)

The Master of Science degree in Sport Coaching and Leadership is designed for students to develop expertise in coaching, developing, and leading athletes at the intercollegiate, interscholastic, and community levels. It integrates knowledge from the physical, psychosocial, developmental, administrative, and ethical domains, and provides opportunity for structured practical experiences.

This is a hybrid program, with more than 90 percent of instruction being offered online, and 1-2 on-campus requirements to complete the coursework for the degree.

Online Graduate Certificate in Sport Coaching & Leadership

The online 9-credit Graduate Certificate in Sport Coaching and Leadership is designed to help students develop expertise in the core competencies of the physical, psychosocial, developmental, administrative, and ethical domains of coaching and leading athletes. Courses are taught with application of knowledge in mind. The certificate is available only through online learning.

Applications are taken three times for start times in spring, summer, and fall semesters, with the following deadlines:

October 15 – for spring semester admission
January 15 – for summer semester admission
June 15 – for fall semester admission
