OISE is holding a series of conference presentation practice sessions open to all doctoral students and faculty presenting a working draft of their presentation in any format for the upcoming CIES international conference, as well as those presenting on other internationally-focused topics at other conferences. These sessions are also an opportunity to receive feedback on your work and presentation from MSU colleagues with international interests. Students interested in learning more about presenting at conferences or about issues in international education are welcome to attend.  MSU students interested in presenting their work may sign up for a session by clicking here.

Internationally-Focused Administrative Careers in U.S. Higher Education Institutions

Postsecondary institutions in the U.S. are increasingly focused on diverse types of international engagement. This focus has supported growth in both types and numbers of administrative jobs in the field of international higher education from entry to senior level. Five panelists from four different universities and colleges working in diverse types of positions will discuss their varied career paths and offer suggestions on how to prepare for and advance an administrative career in international education. Panelists will also share resources to help prepare for a job search in international education.
