Board members serve three-year terms and meet three to four times annually. Throughout the year, members work on one of six committees: Scholarships and Awards, Nominations and Elections, Membership, College Relations, Promotions and Visibility, and Communications.
Nominate Someone for the Board
If you are interested in serving on the Alumni Association board, or know someone who would be a great addition to the board, download and complete the nomination form, and return to the college with a current resume.
Being a member of the board is more than meetings. Members do meet on campus (or via video chat) at least four times a semester, hearing from the dean, faculty, and students about the college, their research and experiences, and meeting in their individual committees. They serve as representatives of the Alumni Association and the College at University and College events. Members are also responsible for selecting scholarship and award recipients, planning events regionally and in East Lansing to engage other alumni and support current students, and working to promote the college.
